The 90%-scale model of the Titanic. It was such an experience to come driving down the highway south of Rosarito, Mexico, and suddenly to see the Titanic staring at you not 100 yards off the road! This picture, of course, was taken from much closer. We are standing in the pool, which can be filled with millions of gallons of water for any scenes requiring it. You can also see the under-structure which allows the model to be sunk as needed.

The main structure has already been split to film some of the sinking sequences. This is not for the scenes of the ship breaking, which actually happened between the third and fourth stacks. This was just putting the part of the ship they needed at the time at an angle.
